A Persian lunar-calendar app built around one everyday question: “نکنه امروز قمر در عقربه؟”, “is the moon in Scorpio today?”
ReleasedIn Iranian tradition, many people avoid starting important things (a trip, a wedding, a contract) while the moon is in Scorpio. The information exists, but it is scattered across almanacs and websites. QamarNama puts it on a Jalali calendar you can read at a glance.
What I built#
- Calendar first: Scorpio days highlighted on a Jalali calendar, with exact entry and exit times calculated on the device, no internet needed.
- Moon explorer: scrub through time to see the moon’s position and phase on any day.
- Reminders: a notification before the moon enters and leaves Scorpio.
- Everything right-to-left: layout, digits, dates and typography built for Persian from day one, with light, dark and gold themes.
Stack: Flutter, Dart, on-device astronomical calculations, local notifications
